Caroline is a qualified UK Solicitor and PRINCE II project management practitioner with an extensive background in law firm relationship and legal spend management. Caroline was an award winner in the entrepreneur category in the European Women of Legal Tech Awards 2020 for her contributions to legal technology/ops. Having worked for several years as a Law Firm Panel Director at AIG, Caroline has spent the last 10 years working in legal operations and legal technology.
Caroline was instrumental in the roll-out of various e-Billing technology solutions and has niche experience in ensuring these products are tailored to the non-US market. Her experience coupled with the unique tech/services combination offered by Coote O’Grady has helped attract clients across a range of sectors including large banks, insurers, pharmaceutical companies and public sector organisations.
Since co-founding Coote O’Grady Caroline has worked to build a bespoke services package specific to the European market, while still servicing global clients in all areas of legal spend. Her focus in recent years has been the development of proprietary legal technology, bringing her knowledge of the market into the tech she designs.
Before developing her own technology, Caroline helped to design and implement various legal tech products for global organisations. Caroline has recently designed bespoke invoice review technology for Coote O’Grady, delivering legal invoice review, savings tracking and customer dashboard services. The technology gives the end-to-end service of data collection, human-led legal invoice review, and savings tracking. Caroline has also designed an insurance-specific portal for collection of key insurance law firm metrics (LegalSRM). LegalSRM allows insurers to performance manage their law firms, as well as use the data to drive general efficiencies and cost savings. In creating these products, Caroline along with the rest of the team has helped Coote O’Grady grow by 60% this year alone.
Coote O’Grady is a diverse and inclusive business. Caroline is passionate about bringing women into the legal operations and technology space and has coached and mentored women stepping into this sector.
